QUERO, Librada "Lily" - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lily Quero on January 18, 2021. She was a beloved mother, auntie, grandma, and sister. Lily was born and raised in Anini-y, Antique, Philippines. She spent most of her life in Valenzuela City, Philippines with her husband Felipe Gregorio Quero who predeceased her on October 31, 1999. In October 2001 she migrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada where she stayed for five years and then moved to Barrie, Ontario to join her daughter Neonita. Nanay was so happy to be reunited with her children, friends and relatives in Canada. She enjoyed her life here in Canada and visited many places she thought she would never see like New York, Chicago, Niagara Falls. We will remember Nanay as a strong believer in her faith. She loved to attend church service and activities. As a mother she showed her children the value of hard work and believed in the importance of education, she preached it to her grandchildren as well (much to the chagrin of some). She was a nice, kind and loving person, and willing to open her home for anyone who needed a place to stay. Nanay will be missed by her children: Neonita, Edwin, Benjamin, Gilbert and Cesar; and her grandchildren: Jericho, Aubry, George, Naomi, Timothy, Macmac, Jessie, J.B., VJ, Vonvon, Maia, Carlo, Yvette, Jeffrey, and Camille. She will be remembered fondly by her daughters-in-law: Leonida and Marissa, and son-in-law Floyd. Nanay left us with a wonderful legacy to be loving, understanding, kind and as always to keep the faith.
