About Us

McClelland & Slessor Funeral Home is a family owned and operated funeral service provider. We are proudly independent from any funeral home corporation. We strongly believe that families we serve benefit from family ownership; Our first and foremost priority is each individual family, not corporate headquarters or shareholders.

The Jennett Funeral Home was established in 1936 by founder Bert Jennett. The funeral home was purchased by current owners David A. McClelland and Simon T. Slessor in 1985 at which time the name was changed to the McClelland & Slessor Funeral Home. In honour of the founder, the chapel within the building was named "Jennett Chapel". We invite you to visit our location in person or visit the on-line tour of our facilities.

McClelland & Slessor is able to offer families a full range of funeral options for both burial and cremation. Please visit our section on Burial & Cremation Options and Services and Products for a detailed explanation of options.

Working between our two locations, we have 6 licenced funeral directors and 10 non-licenced assistants.

In August of 2001, Simon and David opened their second location in Innisfil. The Innisfil Funeral Home, located at 7910 Yonge Street (Highway 11) in Stroud, offers families of Innisfil Township funeral service options without the need to travel to Barrie or Bradford.
